Marketing Specialist

Under the guidance of the Manager of Development, the Marketing Specialist produces all marketing and communications material including printed maps, schedules, and other materials, web sites, and social media. This position handles the sale and placement of transit advertising and assists customers with designing transit advertising when needed. The Marketing Specialist performs public relations duties including receiving and appropriately handling customer comments and complaints on social media and by other methods.

 

Duties include designing and coordinating printing, managing inventory and distribution of printed materials, designing and maintaining the CityBus web site and Intranet site, producing content for print, broadcast, and online publications, managing advertising sales contracts and ensuring fulfillment of contracts through placement of advertising on CityBus vehicles, managing consignment and contract sales relationships for the sale of fare media to passengers, assisting management staff with presentations, assisting with coordination of public meetings, and other duties.

Minimum position requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications Design, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field of study, and one year’s experience in a related professional role. Additional skills include proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office, considerable skill with social media and content development, excellent oral, written and visual communication skills, and ability to deal courteously and professionally with co-workers, customers, and the public.

This is a full time, salaried position. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with additional hours for evening and weekend events, and occasional work-related travel.

Compensation includes competitive salary range between $43,200 and $64,470, paid vacation, and earned sick leave. Benefits include health insurance, health savings account contributions, life, dental, vision, and public employee’s retirement plan.

Bus Operator (Hiring June 2017)

CityBus will be accepting applications for full and part-time bus operators in late spring.If you are looking for a rewarding, full-time career or a part-time job to supplement an existing income, this opportunity may be right for you. 

Ideal candidates will have a Class B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements and an excellent driving record. Commercial drivers license is preferred but not required. Applicants must be willing to work flexible schedules, be safety-minded and enjoy working with the public.
